Access our Apprenticeship Fund and Upskill Your Contractors

We’re offering our agency partners funding to help upskill your staff via the Apprenticeship Scheme.

As a result of COVID and IR35, the future of the recruitment industry, and contracting in particular, is uncertain. While you may be in the process of bringing employees back to work following furlough arrangements, perhaps having to make tough decisions about staff retention, you should also be considering how you can enhance your employees’ output with training and apprenticeships.

Upskilling your staff is a great way to keep your agency running smoothly in the current climate, and Workwell provides funding for agencies, so you can offer your staff training opportunities via the Apprenticeship Scheme.

How does the scheme work?

As part of our commitment to compliance, we’re required to pay an Apprenticeship Levy fee. This money is available to our recruitment agency partners, upon your request, to support you through training your consultants via apprenticeships.

To access this fund, you simply need to contact us and express your interest. Once we’ve helped you identify a suitable prospect and an appropriate apprenticeship level qualification, you’ll be partnered with an external training provider who will guide your employee through the course.

What types of Apprenticeship can we provide?

We’ll partner with a training provider who will put your employees on a course which is suitable for their current level and future goals. The funding is available to employees of all levels and ages, but some examples include:

  • Level 3 Recruitment Consultant – apprentices will learn how to put the right people in the right roles. This apprenticeship enables consultants to: identify, assess, and represent the best talent; develop an in-depth understanding of a client’s needs to be able to work as a consultative partner; set themselves apart from tough market competition to win new business opportunities; and work efficiently within relevant legislation and industry codes of ethics.
  • Management Development Programme – apprentices will learn a range of skills from Personal Development Planning, problem-solving and decision making, to project management, building relationships, and operational management.
